Noninvasive prenatal testing is one of the great technological advancements in diagnostics of the past decade that improves life of every expecting mother.  Unfortunately, US insurance payers do not support wide use of this innovative technology, making reimbursements subject to narrow conditions and complicated policies. 

The situation is complicated by the fact that NIPT test is expensive with an average national reimbursement rate of  $759 and claim denial may leave pregnant mom with the large unexpected bill. 

Usually, Insurance reimbursement policies depend on age group and referring Diagnosis by the Physician. 

To help navigate this complexity, we have done the statistical analysis of payments for NIPT tests by and computed reimbursement statistics for over 500 insurance payers.  This report includes the summary for the main insurance companies.
